CAMP REVIEW
What a wonderful time we had at camp!!!
Mum's and Dad's you will be happy to know the kids were beautiful.... brushed their teeth, used knives and forks at the dinner table and some even showered!
Children showed such great enthusiasm for the activities, some of which inclucled, rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing, the low ropes course, archery and hut building.
My favourite activity of the week was the night games. Playing hide and seek with the kids in the middle of the dark was HEAPS of FUN!

SWIMMING CARNIVAL
What a fantastic day we had at the carnival.
Look out Thorpey, we had some terrific swimmers at the Diamond Creek Pool.
I must mention that the marshalling skills of Mr Fleming and myself were also phenomenal!!
Well done to the children who have made it through to the District Swimming, stay posted for an update on they perform.

Our rooms have been beautifully quite of late..... ASSESSMENT ASSESSMENT ASSESSMENT!!!
This week we have assessed the children on a range of curriculum (hoping they haven't forgotten it all over the holidays!)
Grade 6's have been supporting their new buddies beautifully and our Grade 5's seem to have settled in.

Leadership Conference 2010
Yesterday was our first Grade 6 leadership conference and what a great success!!! Children particpated in a series of conferences including listening to guest speakers such as Dianne Simmons (Christmas Hill Fire Captain) and Waynne Spence (Diamond Creek Senior Sargent). They learnt all about the new badges they can earn this year and started scripting their portfolio to go on display in the foyer of the school.

2nd week and already were hard at work!
Children have been revising our school values in lots of different ways, including using Wordle.
Reminder: Interschool sports starts this week, brin g back permission slips to participate.
